Easy Calendar Decorating Idea

Hey everyone! Here is another idea I got from Pinterest. It's a super easy and cheap way to make a cute calendar for any purpose. I will be using mine to write out our weekly menu. My husband does the cooking most of the time so it will be an easy way for him to know what to make for dinner. There are a few other ones on Pinterest to check out for inspiration!

Here is what mine looks like! 

I got 8 small frames from Wal-Mart. They are cheap plastic 4x6 frames that were $.95 each.  Then I had some bright colored card stock laying around the house already. I printed some cool black and white patterns on the pages and then cut them out to put behind the glass. You can use scrap booking paper or whatever you want. The nice thing is that if we ever wanted to change the paper out to something that isn't so bold, it would be really easy to do.

I also made some funky looking labels for the days and have each one a different font.

I put the frames into a pattern that I liked and used a glue gun to glue the frames together. Make sure that when you are doing this, the piece on the back of the frame that you will be using to hang it up is going to be in the right position.

All that is left is to find a dry erase marker to write on your calendar! This could be a good idea for children, chores, or just for keeping track of your schedule!
